OMG, Nicole, you have so many beautiful orchids in bloom! I always feel good when I have something in bloom and I would be ecstatic to have so many blooming at the same time! You are definitely an inspiration to me!
Thank you Eileen :)) with over 200 there's always something in bloom 😂 It's so much work but it's worth it. Thank you as always for your nice comments ❤️🤗
What a phenomenal start to my day! 🌺🪴🙌🏾 I love everything but you said favorite, so I’m partial to your Bc Morning Glory because I have one also and she’s doing something but too soon for me to get excited haha Enjoy your weekend!! Thanks for sharing your collection 😊
Hi Nicole, everything is so beautiful, you do a great job with the orchids and the Hoyas! I love the Phalaenopsis Jiaho’s pink girl, saw it and smelled (loved the scent!) it for the first time at the New Jersey Orchids Society Show. Love the Phalaenopsis Normans World cause it’s beautiful and you say it smells good lol 🤪. Well, I love everything! I can’t wait to see the blooms on my Hoya Crimson Queen. 🥰🌞🌸 Be safe Nicole.
I just started watching and am pleasantly surprised to see that I am using pretty much the same set up: wire rack shelving and Barrina LED's. My challenge is keeping the plants warm and humid enough during the winter. Thanks for your channel!
Hi Nicole. Your orchid blooms are beautiful, and your Hoya’s. I wish my Phalaenopsis amboinensis looked like yours but sadly it had spider mites this summer and has only two leaves left. It’s bouncing back, but I enjoyed seeing your’s. Take care.🥰👏❤️
So many gorgeous blooms!! Absolutely beautiful! I love the schilleriana and the Jiho pink girl! Those are absolutely stunning! I got some schillerianas at Tamiami and while they need to grow out a bit, I am excited to see them grow and bloom!
Great channel smart helpful tips ~ I have thrips & never heard of them so thanks to you I have them under control. You have beautiful Hoyas we had so many of them, sometimes I’d come home from work & put a couple outside due to the fragrance, we could smell them as soon as you opened the door . Love your channel ~ easy breezy orchid care we appreciate your knowledge of orchids & Hoyas ⭐️⭐️⭐️
I'm so glad you enjoy the videos and that they are helpful to you! I'm also glad you were able to get thrips under control, they are terrible! Appreciate you watching and thank you for the lovely comment
Great update! I use to have a phalaenopsis like that one but I think it was not named as well. I love the Richard Meuller x labiata! It is beautiful! I'm gonna have to keep my eye out for one. 😂 it's Pink so of course I'd love it! I need to also chop few hoyas to make fuller pots. 😊
@NicoleDeanna hey sweetie that would be awesome! Thanks so much! I definitely want some different Richard Meuller types. Right now my copper queen and yellow bird looks identical just different size. 😂
Beautiful orchids Nicole. I have a Phal that looks very similar to the white with purple spots. I had a faded out description tag and it said Polka dot. It hasn't bloomed yet because I repotted several phals in October. All in sphagnum moss. The roots have gone bananas with lots of new growth. Hopefully they will bloom a little later this spring. Thanks for sharing Nicole. Always a good day seeing your collection in bloom.
My schilleriana is about to bloom, too, and I can’t wait to see if it has a fragrance this time. I’m sitting here repotting my phals I got from Tamiami this month- while you tell me about yours from there that are blooming. I bought the Hieroglyphica (yours is amazing), orchid world & smiley prince Wilson. Love your videos. Keep ‘em coming! Love your blooming Hoyas. My fave so far is nummalariodes. Slow as sun grower but the scent of the flowers are wonderful!
I'm so glad you enjoy the videos, it's comments like this that keep me going! Wilson has nice stuff, and the prices were good. Happy you had a good trip down there!
I have hoya carnosa and only grow them in plastic hanging baskets. I keep them in a tree in my yard from about March to Halloween here in North Carolina and they get high light and bloom constantly all summer.
Loved the video. The Jiaho’s Pink Girl and the BC Morning Glory are on my Hausermann wish list. It helps to see these in bloom. My friend has that big ‘ole Phal, it’s one of my favorites. Unfortunately, I don’t know the name.
My mini phals are blooming right now. It's the second bloom since I bought them and my first ever rebloom so I'm so excited! My favorites were the Nicole because my name is Nicholette haha
I have a Krimson Queen Hoya, for at least 28 years. It has never bloomed. It’s in a southwest window doing really well. I have never repotted it, it’s just in garden soil. How can I get it to bloom? Thanks, I love all your videos!
Wow! 28 years in your care, it must be a specimen!! It took me a year and a half to bloom it. Is it getting regular fertilizer? If you've never repotted it, maybe try cutting a piece off, root it in water or moss and get it in some fresh mix. It's possible the roots are extremely rootbound preventing it from blooming
@@NicoleDeanna Thanks for the info. I’m going to root a cutting and try to grow it. My original is doing so well that I’d hate to kill it by repotting or moving it.
Just love your videos. Do all fragrant phals smell faintly like plastic? I have ten but they're all scentless - and all NOIDs from Trader Joes or the flower district. So far😜
Haha, the ones on this update did didn't they? 😂 Some smell like citrus, like the bellina. The violacea smells like cinnamon and roses. There is a good mix :))
Hi Nicole! I love your channel and always can't wait to see your next video. I have a question. Who is Michael Mccarthy? I have a feeling he's knowledgeable in the orchid world. Prob a good person to know? I hear his name alot on all the channels I watch and just wanted to get up to speed.
Thank you so much, I appreciate your kind words ❤️ Michael is a lovely grower in Florida. He's sent me some awesome orchids and we've got a long time swap going :)
I'm sorry to hear this! I have mine in sphagnum moss. They need to be kept pretty warm and watered pretty frequently but need to drain and be kept in fluffy moss. Check out my Amboinensis Spotlight video for more care info
Beautiful blooms. My Schillariana hadn't bloomed yet, and I killed my Jaiho pink girl last year ..too much watering. 😢 Hoyas are beautiful when they bloom, but like a lot of people ,getting them to bloom isn't that easy. ❤
It happened the first time I tried a spray fertilizer on the leaves. I thought I dried the crown but I guess not good enough. Next time will be better.

I mean it's vigorous as heck so in a year i probably have to divide it and we can add it to the list. You know we play the long game here haha :)

Jiho Pink Girl gets my vote. She is gorgeous.
Thank you ❤️❤️
Thanks for the update on your blooms. Very beautiful blooms. My favorite orchid is phal amboisnesis.Love them very much. Not lucky with them. lol.❤🙏
You can grow them, you got this! :)

I love those species!! 😃
Aren't they great? I can't wait for the species you gave me to bloom, it's pushing out lots of leaves :) Hopefully over the spring or summer.
@@NicoleDeanna I noticed the bastianii keiki I’ve got has just started pushing two spikes, so keep an eye on yours!

Aww ❤️ Can't blame you for picking that one!
Did you get your ‘difficult’ Cattleya to grow a spike yet? Beautiful, beautiful collection! I’m hoping mine looks half that good some day.

So sorry to hear about your Jiaho's Pink girl :( You won't make that mistake again though :)
p.s. what's the temperature on your orchid bloom shelf and do you use an automatic mister?
The temps are about 65 degrees to about 80 in the winter, and 75 to 90 in the summer.
😊👍👍
Phalenopsis Marrakesh, I have the same but in a peloric version.
Thank you!
I think I’ve killed my Jiaho Punk Girl. It got crown rot but still has some roots so I’m hoping for a keiki.
Im' so sorry to hear that, I hope it pushes through for you and gives you that keiki, if not, you'll be able to successfully grow it next time :))
